IPEC held Oil Production and Oil Refinery Waste Treatment Workshop
Oil production and oil refinery waste treatment presentation took place in the very center of Saint Petersburg at Radisson Sonya Hotel on 25-26 of February. The two-day event included a seminar and equipment presentation at Safe Technologies’ production site.
The workshop hosted more than 70 participants, there were representatives of Russian and foreign companies from South Africa, Turkey, Latvia, Estonia and Finland. The presentation was attended by representatives of JSC Gazprom Neft, Zarubezhneft JSC, OAO NGK Slavneft, OOO LUKOIL-Permnefteorgsintez, Rosneft Oil Company, Cailia Trading cc, Ritas A.S., Scitech Consulting OÜ and other oil production, oil refinery and service companies.
On the first day of the workshop experts of the company elaborated on a number of issues related to the processing of drilling fluids and drill cuttings. After the end of the seminar in a hotel the attendees were taken to the company’s manufacturing site, where they were shown the actual functioning of the Thermal Decomposition Plant – equipment dedicated to the processing of hydrocarbon waste, including oil sludge, drill cuttings, waste drilling fluids with a recovery of valuable products – commercial grade dry residue and liquid fuels.
The second day was devoted to the processing of oil sludge. The final stage of the theoretical part of the event was a free discussion in the form of question-answer. IPEC experts in ecology and process engineering answered all the questions from participants; the complex issues were given thorough extensive explanations.
This educational workshop was the first for the IPEC, but surely not the last one. The series of the presentations and workshops are planned already for this year.
