The TDP-2-2000 unit for processing industrial waste from Gazprom Neft’s Messoyakha fields put into operation

22.07.2021

At the beginning of July a thermal destruction unit TDP-2-800 was launched at the industrial and solid waste landfill site of JSC Messoyakhaneftegaz (PJSC Gazprom Neft). The landfill receives waste from the Zapadno-Messoyakhskoye and Vostochno-Messoyakhskoye oil fields. The task of the TDP is to recycle oily waste (drill cuttings, oil contaminated soil, oil sludge) using the pyrolysis method. Technological equipment and automation systems were tested and accepted in the presence of the Customer’s working commission.

TDP for industrial waste recycling Oil sludge processing in TDP-2

When designing pyrolysis equipment IPEC considers climatic features of the most northern deposits – extremely low permafrost temperatures. Therefore non-standard solutions were implemented: the unit is built on a pile foundation, TDP loading and unloading units are located outside the building, and the recycling process can be controlled manually or automatically without requiring the presence of staff if necessary.

Waste disposal directly at the fields eliminates the risks of environmental contamination present during waste transportation and guarantees its timely destruction, which is in line with the environmental safety policy of Messoyakhaneftegaz and Gazprom Neft.
